38 year old patient with transient and mild impaired left
ventricular function. Recovery of LVEF after a few weeks. Reassurance of
the patient with an exercise MRI showing an increase of LVEF of 55% at
rest to 71% during exercise (peak Watt 150, peak heart rate
134/min).
Images were acquired during a 2 sec breath hold using balanced fast
field echo in combination with SENSE imaging.
Ergometry was
performed in the scanner without relevant problems. Image quality was very
good, however, only one slice per breath hold could be obtained (multiple
slices per breath hold significantly decreased image quality, were are
working on that...)
Of note, the patient is 190 cm tall, which did not
hinder exercise test in the magnet ... !
