Atypical isolated ventricular noncompaction (IVNC) in a 36 year old woman with ventricular tachycardia

History

This is  the case of a 36 year old woman, who developed symptomatic ventricular tachycardia at a heart rate of 213 bpm. She was found to have isolated noncompaction of the ventricular anteriorer wall, detected occasionally on left heart catheterization. Echocardiography and MRI were performed to confirm the diagnosis. The case was presented at the Echocardiographers Meeting in Lucerne, 10. January 2001. The main findings are represented here.
